What is Q-Me Con?
The Queer Media and Entertainment Conference (Q-Me Con) is the only multi-day conference designed specifically for industry professionals working in, or looking to break into, LGBTQ content creation for the burgeoning queer TV, music, film and new digital media arenas. Q-Me Con features engaging seminars, tons of networking events and outrageous off-site parties designed specifically for queer industry professionals and content creators.


When and where will Q-Me Con take place?
The second annual Q-Me Con conference will take place Saturday, April 13th and Sunday, April 15th at The Village at Ed Gould Plaza located 1125 N. McCadden Place in Los Angeles, CA with a kick-off bash Friday, April 13th and numerous off-site events at various locations in and around West Hollywood throughout the weekend.


Who created Q-Me Con?

Why the need for a Queer Media and Entertainment Conference?
The need for queer content is increasing due to the rapid growth of queer-targeted cable channels, television programs, music outlets, film and video festivals, web portals and DVD distributors. In addition, new trends toward short-form mobile and interstitial programming, web streaming and videocasting continue to create an ever-increasing demand for LGBTQ and LGBTQ-friendly content.


What types of seminars will be featured at Q-Me Con?
Q-Me Con will feature a wide array of informative panels, ranging from Q & A's with star-studded queer TV casts, to workshops with celebrated queer agents, writers, directors producers and TV & production company executives. Q-Me Con will also feature in-depth forums delving into the "ins & outs" of queer content making, pitching, marketing and distributing. There will also be panels about the state of queer advertising, the role of sex in the media and the power of porn!


Will Q-Me Con feature any activities especially for female attendees?
Yes! Q-Me Con 2007 will feature a dedicated women's track addressing the current state of queer women in Hollywood and entertainment such as "Living in Skin: Queer Women, Sex and the Media," "Celluloid Sisters: Why Queer Women Need to Make More Movies" and "Sound Advice: Queer Women and the Power of Music."


What type of industry professionals will appear at Q-Me Con?
Q-Me Con has assembled some of the leading LGBTQ media outlets, famous directors and creative content makers, noted programmers, musicians, writers, pundits and numerous representatives from traditional and alternative distributors.
